USCIS DID(it) government contract, served as the Tech Lead, leading and mentoring a
team of 5 developers. Eventually handling two separate applications in active development
using the resources of just my team. Managing project timelines, deliverables, and
technical direction. Facilitating communication between stakeholders, including developers,
managers and clients. Developed a skill for handling "difficult" stakeholders and gaining
their trust. Prior to my taking over, one app had failed its 508 audit every year, under my
direction we mitigated over 240 508 issues, improving it to the point were it passed its audit
for the first time. Also served as a member of the monitoring pilot team, helping teams
setup basic NewRelic dashboards, alerts, and synthetic monitoring and getting teams more
familiar with using NewRelic. Worked on a Custom Design System project where we built
508 accessible web components that could be used in Ruby on Rails and React using
Storybook and Lit.

USCIS DID(it) government contract, working as a Tech Lead on a team of 4 developers,
including 2 junior developers using Ruby on Rails, React, Rspec, Jest, Enzyme, Jenkins,
New Relic, Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Databricks. Personally worked to improve
performance and remove tech debt, resolving a memory leak causing the app to crash for
only a minute once every 2 weeks and removed 130 files of dead end code. Asked to take
the 508 certification course and received my DHS Trusted Tester certification in June 2022.
Frequently helped our Data engineers tweak a complicated Databricks SQL query that
scraped records from multiple sources and loaded the information into a table in our
database. Received the "Customer Whisperer" uDIDit award for my work with the
Databricks team.

Served as Tech Lead for one project with a team of 4 developers.

a custom internal application that would replace cumbersome paper processes using a
wide variety of tools including Ruby on Rails, Typescript, Jenkins, Pivotal Cloud Foundry,
Jest and Enzyme.

September 2017 - September 2019
Worked for a geospatial intelligence company on a team of talented engineers to design
and develop a custom internal web application. Full-Stack engineer who personally worked
on all parts utilizing many tools, including Ruby & Sinatra, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails,
Minitest, React, Typescript and Jenkins.
